Some of us choose the shadows for different reasons – concealment, embarrassment, fear or maybe an overall dislike of the sun’s necessity and light.

Then there’s this from JD Vance, Vice President of the United States:

“I empathize with Americans who are exhausted after 25 years of foreign entanglements in the Middle East,” he said, “I understand the concern, but the difference is that back then we had dumb presidents and now we have a president who actually knows how to accomplish America’s national security objectives.”

Back then, we had dumb presidents, not like today, not like Trump who gives us nothing but embarrassment, bombs, ICE, lies, disintegration of science, research, health, the environment and anything of real national value.

I choose the shadows due to embarrassment.

This is America now, and not even Obama appears willing to come out and fight.

We’re a shadow country in a world striving to be brighter, without us.
