The Prestige Study…Why Feinberg Should Drop the “No Sue” Clause for Final Payments

Is Feinberg reconsidering the no-sue clause? Perhaps so, and maybe because of new information such as this: In the journal, Annals of Internal Medicine, a new study reveals the longer term health effects for cleanup workers exposed to spilled oil when the tanker Prestige sank off the coast of Spain. What it shows is the risks to human health go far beyond the damage of … Continue reading The Prestige Study…Why Feinberg Should Drop the “No Sue” Clause for Final Payments

An Open Letter to the Remaining Oil in the Gulf of Mexico

I thought we had a deal. When we released our pie chart back on August 4th, that prop we used to show everybody watching the networks just how 75% of the oil had been removed from the Gulf, we did so under terms of a certain agreement, one that it disappoints us to find you have not kept. You know, we didn’t ask you to … Continue reading An Open Letter to the Remaining Oil in the Gulf of Mexico

Some Perspective…BP Set to Announce 5 Billion Dollar Profit in 2nd Quarter

From the Telegraph: This week is likely to see the start of BP’s fightback, beginning with the announcement of $5bn in profits for the second quarter of 2010 and the resignation of Hayward – a symbolic break with the steady drip of bad news that has bombarded the company since April 20. The State of Mental Health on the Gulf Coast…BP Hasn’t Given a Dime

On the Gulf Coast, the oil spill is taking another toll, one not as obvious as oil covered pelicans or slicks on the water: “The mental health impact here…and the level of uncertainty is taking a toll on people and that’s a huge concern,” Kindra Arnesen says, “Stress? There appears to be very little the … Continue reading BP dumping oil waste in Mississippi landfill, the 2nd spill…
