Bobby Jindal’s Political Ambitions, Very Desperate

Bobby, Bobby, Bobby… Look man, we all realize that your Presidential aspirations are drowning in oil and you have a strong urge, a need to do something, now, right now. I get it and when you first brought up the whole sand berm approach I was all for it and all for you telling the government to piss off, you were going to do it … Continue reading Bobby Jindal’s Political Ambitions, Very Desperate

Johnnie Burton, GW’s MMS Director Doesn’t Understand What The Fuss Is About

Johnnie Burton emerges: She was the Mineral and Management Services Director for GW from 2000-2007 and she doesn’t seem to understand what all the hub-bub is about over at the MMS these days. “When I was there, it seemed to work so well,” she says. True, when you give the oil companies whatever they want, and deplete the means of your own agency to enforce … Continue reading Johnnie Burton, GW’s MMS Director Doesn’t Understand What The Fuss Is About

BP caught covering up the oil with sand, the photos, the Coast Guard denial

We’ve been talking about it on the internet for a week now, and John Wathen on BPOilslick got it, photos of cleanup crews with heavy loaders, dredging up sand and then dumping it on tar balls and pools of oil. Clean beach may be good for the tourist’s photos, but really bad for toxicity levels. Apparently, this is British Petroleum doing everything it can to … Continue reading BP caught covering up the oil with sand, the photos, the Coast Guard denial

Dispersants Being Blamed for Tar Balls in Lake Pontchartrain

Kevin Davis, the President of St. Tammany Parish stated today that the dispersants (Corexit), being used in the Gulf of Mexico are to blame for the oil in Lake Pontchartrain. The chemicals bond with the oil, causing it to stay underwater and it is believed this method is how those devious little tar balls are getting past the barges and through the Rigolets waterway. Mr. Davis called … Continue reading Dispersants Being Blamed for Tar Balls in Lake Pontchartrain

Who Will Pay to Fix Louisiana? Big Oil is Big Pimpin’…

You mean to tell me that the short-sightedness was not the sole property of British Petroleum, that all the oil companies have been making shortsighted decision for the past 100 years, and they’ve been enabled in these endeavors by the state’s politicians? Say it ain’t so Landrieu, say it ain’t so. 8000 miles of canals were dug through the wetlands for easier and cheaper access … Continue reading Who Will Pay to Fix Louisiana? Big Oil is Big Pimpin’…

The Scientists are on board in helping the Gulf, unfortunately, that boat ain’t allowed offshore

I live in a crazy world, really do….and that’s not just because I am an Adult Crisis Counselor… nope. I live in this world of my own ideas where I like to think that some things would be obvious… And in my world, if an oil rig blew up and started spurting…oh, I don’t know…something like 2 Million Gallons of oil into the Gulf of … Continue reading The Scientists are on board in helping the Gulf, unfortunately, that boat ain’t allowed offshore

BP Punishes Fisherman Who Won’t Expose Themselves to Corexit Toxicity – Kindra Arnesen is Back!

From Project Gulf Impact: Kindra Arnesen is back with this latest line of BP coercion…so get this, if the Fisherman in the Gulf Coast decide, for whatever reason (family, toxicity of Corexit, oil, no respirators) etc…British Petroleum  will call this an income source that they willfully decline, and then deduct possible earnings they could have made from any claims of reparation. Hey Bob Dudley! Yeah … Continue reading BP Punishes Fisherman Who Won’t Expose Themselves to Corexit Toxicity – Kindra Arnesen is Back!

Recovery Effort Falls Vastly Short of BP Estimates…Shhh, bp is lying…didn’t hear it from me

The tired refrain continues: British Petroleum is full of shit. It has been 78 days now since the Deepwater Horizon BP catastraphuk occurred and the lies keep coming, thick and sticky and suffocating. Face it…we’re all Brown Pelicans and this is BP’s show. Before the well exploded and, let us not forget, killed 11 people, BP said in the case of a spill, they could … Continue reading Recovery Effort Falls Vastly Short of BP Estimates…Shhh, bp is lying…didn’t hear it from me

Yes, there is now oil in Lake Pontchartrain

Despite all the Corexit, all the booms (skimmers?) everything that BP and Obama says they are doing in the Gulf of Mexico, the oil has now reached Lake Pontchartrain…well, this brings a whole new reality to the city of New Orleans. Take a look at the map to the right and realize how far that oil had to travel to get there, if there were … Continue reading Yes, there is now oil in Lake Pontchartrain
